Biography
My childhood love of art grew to my main passion as an adult. Painting and drawing was the best way I could truly express myself as a youngster and as I matured.
When I first began taking my art seriously I enjoyed painting the female figure and still objects. As my techniques expanded I found myself most drawn to nature. I have been focusing on painting trees for the past few years and feel completely fulfilled. My contemporary spin on painting trees is what has made me most recognized as an emerging Canadian artist. Most of my pieces are mixed media. I am facinated with using different textures. I finish all my paintings with a high gloss finish so they can be touched and reflect the light. My tree series captures all the beauty trees embody with a twist. I create nature with multiple repeated objects, human figures, stones or simply molding paste.
Since I am continuously creating I look forward to what the future holds for my art. I follow my instincts and let my thoughts transfer to canvas.
